Hello everyone!
Today's card is rather simple but I think it
would brighten anyone's birthday.  It has
a lot of the same elements of yesterday's card.
The same LifeStyles Crafts scalloped rectangle.
I am playing with a new technique that I hope to
share with you soon.  It needs a little tweeking.
I used my knockoff of Becca Feeken's
Peg Bow Maker to make the bow.  I found
these straight pins at JoAnn's a year or so ago.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hug,
Gail

Hello everyone!
Today's card uses another Memory Box Die.
When I first punched it out I was disappointed
because it was in a ton of pieces but,
after my initial response I realized
the negative was gorgeous.  Using my ATG
I covered the back of the flower portion with
adhesive and then added glitter.  The scalloped
rectangle is for LifeStyle Crafts.  Layered and
embellished it is complete and ready for the
birth, of a friend's little girl, this week.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello everyone!
I just received like 14 new dies and I have been dying to play with them
When I saw the die I could see this card with it.
I started with the Poppy Die from Memory Box.
I need to get to work and keep up with the  new
techniques everyone is trying.
Tanks for stopping in.

Hello everyone!
It seems like forever since I posted.  It has
been crazy busy for me but, I am glad
to be back.  I created this card a week ago
and am just getting around to posting it.
After a trip to one of my favorite place,
The Fabric Barn, in Long Beach, CA I
had these adorable little teddy bears and they just
screamed to be made into a baby card.
The only tools I used were my paper trimmer,
scissors, black pen, some wire cutters, and some
adhesive.  You can't see it in the photo but, the
white of the base card and the layers is a pearlescent card
stock.  I tied the bow with my knock-off of
Becca Feeken's Peg Bow Maker.
I cut the ruffle to size and adhered it to the front panel, then
I added the bow with adhesive dots.  I layered the
sentiment block, added the teddy bears after drawing in
their mouths and eyes, and finally inserted the pins and
snipped off the tips so they wouldn't be sharp.
The last thing to do was add some foam tape to the back
of the fron tpanel to add dimension.
To me the ruffle and bow reminds me of a little girl's skirt.
As always, I appreciate you spending a little time with me.
Hugs,
Gail

Hi everyone!
My step-mom, Kay, is visiting for a
week.  She has never been very crafty but,
I got her knitting on a loom.  Today we went
shopping at one of my favorite places, The Fabric Barn,
in Long Beach.  I found some great little things so
thought I would whip together a card using some
of those items.  I loved this organza gathered
trim and the flowers and butterflies.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope
to be back again tomorrow.
Hugs,
Gail

Hi! everyone.
Last night I watched a video by Gina K
on using your score board to emboss your
background card stock and wanted to give it a shot.
This is a very simple card and took about
an hour while watching TV, visiting with my step-mom,
and trying to figure out how to play with a
blow-up mattress in the middle of my studio.
It's all good.  We had a nice dinner, I've had a cup of tea,
and my card is finished.
I love the ribbon.  It is stretchy.  Don't know where I got
it by I like the look.  The flowers are from K&Company.

Thanks for coming by.  I hope you make this a regular
stop on the web.
Hugs,
Gail

Hi! everyone.
Todays card features Sassafras Lass
card stock.  I used some old lace, a bit of
brown cord, some pearls, and made a few
pieces dimensional.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello everyone!
Hope you had an amazing holiday.
I have the hardest time working with
the color orange.  I don't know what it is but,
orange and I just don't get along.  On today's card
I decided to make orange the predominant color.
I also cased this card from my friend Cassie.
I used a Fiskar's corner rounder and removed
the corner guides to punch the bottom borders.
The ribbon is from Big Lots,
a couple of straight pins from Joann's, and
some buttons from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by.
Lots of people are checking in but,
I wish more of you would say,"Hello!"
Hugs for now,
Gail

Hope you all had a glorious Easter.
I am spending the day with my family
but I will be back tomorrow with a
new card for you.  I have been spending
some time reorganizing my dies and
the next step is my acrylic & rubber
stamps.  I am actually thinking about
unmounting all of my rubber stamps
so I reduce the amount of space they
consume.  God bless you all.
Hugs,
Gail

Today's card is an answer to two different challenges.
One is for cQc#131 and the other is SSD122.
I used four different Spellbinder's Embossing Folders.
The center medallion is a paper coaster.  I made
the tulips from a flower punch from Stampin' Up.
The idea for the flowers came from this blog.
The butterflies are from a Sizzlet die.
Originally, I cut out the entire outline in black
but, It was too dark on my card so, I removed
all but the body of the outline of the butterfly.
It screams spring to me.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Gail

Here's another card for SQSC 33
I used the Martha Stewart Punch All Over the Page.
The sentiment block is cut with a Spellbinder's Die.
The flourishes are from a My Favorite Things Die.
It is really late or really early,
depending on your point of view.
Until next time take care and be good to yourself.

Hugs,
Gail

Hope and pray this finds you all well.
Today's card is for another challenge over
This card took about half an hour.  I had
the most trouble trying to get a good picture
of it.  I like the combination of the turquoise,
 lime, and white.
I couldn't get my punch in to the center
of the card so I opted for 4 holes and
the oval tag.
As always I thank you for taking your time
to check out my little spot
Hugs

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today's card is from a tutorial I saw on YouTube
The only thing I did differently is I used a
Martha Stewart corner and border punch to decorate
the flap.  This card is very plain unlike what I usually
make but I wanted to do something different tonight.
Thanks for stopping by.

Gail

Hello everyone!  Today's card is another one
inspired by the great sketch by Emily Keaton for
the ISSC09 challenge.
I have used the Bella Blue paper pad from GCD
I turned the sketch on its side and added a few
embellishments.  The flourishes are die cut from
a Sizzix Die.  The bow is tied from seam binding.
I added 2 corsage pins and snipped off the tips
so we won't be drawing any blood.
Thank you for spending some time with me.
I love hearing what you have to say.
Hugs,
Gail

Todays card is designed from
the sketch challenge ISSC09.

I picked up the Bella Blue paper stack by GCD
at Hobby Lobby yesterday.  I really like the
blends of browns and blues.  I also tried
a faux stitching process.  The knotted
ribbon is actually rayon seam binding
that I dyed with walnut ink.

Thanks for stopping by and as I look
forward to your comments.
Hugs,
Gail

A wedding card for Melayna.
The top photo shows the card inside the box that
I made for this very dimensional card.  The
color scheme for the wedding was black so I
used a combination of white, black, and silver.
The flowers on the card are rolled roses cut
I used the peg bow maker that my son and
husband made for me following directions
from Becca.  I also used the Spellbinders
Scalloped Hearts die for the ting heart that is in the
spray.  I made the box using two sheets
of cardstock and a half
sheet of transparency film.
As always thanks for stopping by.
Hugs, Gail
